Tarnished Mirrors: Translations of Charles Baudelaire was published by A Muffled Cry Publications, May 2004 in Boulder, CO. The book is now out of print but occasionally becomes available here.
A pdf copy of the text is also available. Please contact rdfroude AT gmail DOT com if you are interested in this. The full text includes the original French with English translations, a preface by Andrew Schelling and two afterword essays by the translator.
"Can light flood / a dark, grimy sky? / Can we rip the darkness / denser then pitch? The answers to these and many other questions can be found in (or inferred from) Richard Froude's tough, tender, spleen-filled Tarnished Mirrors: brand new Baudelaire for this brand new century!"
- Laird Hunt
"Froude is from Bristol, England. In the diction that moves through him lie patterns of sound just distant enough from American speech to conjure an earlier era, at the threshold of our own."
- Andrew Schelling
